SCORE Awards and Recognition

Each year, the SCORE SC Lowcountry chapter proudly recognizes the remarkable efforts of our entrepreneurial clients, volunteers, partners, and sponsors. Join us in celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship as well as the individuals and organizations that make it possible.

SCORE Entrepreneur of the Year (2022)

Wendala, Owner Wendy Kushel

Wendy Kushel, mentored by Craig Husted, developed her business, Wendala's®, from a simple idea to a fully operational entity. This venture began in September 2020 and by July 2022, she was fully committed to marketing and production.

Kushel, previously a stand-up comedian and wine connoisseur, faced numerous obstacles but remained focused, resilient, and determined, living by the motto, "Always go 4WRD." Her comedic creativity fuels the uniqueness of her product line, characterized by distinctive scents, catchy packaging, and accessories. Her entrepreneurial journey demonstrates the effort, resilience, and tenacity required to succeed in small business.
