SCORE SC Lowcountry partners with Wells Fargo and Truist Banks to present the Minority Small Business Support Program

SCORE SC Lowcountry has long had a commitment to the community in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties in South Carolina. A new program, the Minority Small Business Support Program, will help small minority-owned businesses with grant awards to support direct company operations. Awards range from $500 to $2,500 with an average award of $1,000.

SCORE SC Lowcountry Chapter Chairman Rod Casavant shares, “Our SCORE team is delighted to enhance our support of our Lowcountry small business community with the launch of the Minority Small Business Support Program. Thank you to Truist Bank and Wells Fargo for their valuable partnership involving this exciting initiative focused on investing in the success of our area businesses.”

Application materials, including a business plan, must be submitted between Tuesday, September 7, and Wednesday, October 6, 2021. More information, as well as an application and business plan template, can be obtained at .

Applications will be accepted from businesses that are 51% owned by African-American, Hispanic, Asian, or Native Americans; are starting a business; have 25 employees or less; have a South Carolina business license and are located in the four-county area served by SCORE SC Lowcountry.
